It’s Official – We’re Moving Back Downtown!

It’s hard to believe, but Dan Miller and his crew have been entertaining in Cody for the last fourteen years! And for our fifteenth season, we are pleased to announce that we’re heading back downtown, partnering with the Irma Hotel to provide great food and entertainment for the summer of 2019!

We’ll be setting up our stage at 1131 12th Street, right behind the Irma Hotel, and offering a fantastic dinner/show package with the Irma! For $37, you’ll get a delicious prime rib and seafood buffet, and then at 8:00, you’ll walk next door for the show. If you want to come just for the show, tickets are $17.

For more information on our new location, reservations or tours, call Wendy at (307) 899-2799.

National Finals TONIGHT!

It’s that time of the year again – when Dan spends two weeks in Las Vegas, hosting the show National Finals Tonight!

For the last twelve years, Dan and his co-hosts – eight-time world champion bull rider Donnie Gay, and eight-time world champion cowboy Joe Beaver – have been entertaining audiences after the National Finals Rodeo performances, interviewing the cowboys and cowgirls who make rodeo what it is.

This year, the show will be broadcast from The Orleans hotel in Las Vegas, and will be televised on The Cowboy Channel, which is a sister station to RFD-TV. The show will be aired at 7:30 p.m. ET the day after it is filmed, and will feature guests such as J.W. Harris, Tuf Cooper and Trevor Brazile, the lineup for the first show that will air on December 7th.

Dan, Donnie and Joe will keep you entertained for the next ten days, introducing you to the stars of the rodeo world, and giving you those up-close-and-personal stories that only the cowboys and cowgirls themselves can tell.

Dan, who produces the show as well as hosting, says he likes the spontaneity and unpredictability of the show – in his words, “You never know who will show up or what they will say!”

Tune in to the Cowboy Channel for the next week and a half to get ALL the scoop on the National Finals Rodeo!

We’ve Got a Busy Week Ahead!

Wow, what a night we had last night – and what a week we’ve got coming up!
Last night we had an absolutely packed house, wonderful visitors from Canada and North Dakota, as well as folks from right here in Cody!
This weekend, Dan, Hannah and Wendy will be traveling to Nashville to appear in a showcase at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center – a super quick trip, but the bonus is, they’ll also get to go backstage at the Opry on Saturday night!
Dan’s got more going on than just the showcase, though – he’ll be GUEST HOSTING Larry’s Country Diner!! We’ll let you know what date that will air.
As if that wasn’t enough, you’ll be able to catch us on Larry’s Country Diner this week on RFD-TV! They’ll be re-running our appearance from last year… tune in and enjoy!

Introducing… Shelbi McNeil!

This summer has been a year of transitions for the Dan Miller Cowboy Music Revue family. Hannah, who has been playing with her dad every summer evening since she was six years old, has graduated with her Associates Degree from Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming, and will be headed to the University of Wyoming in Laramie in the fall.

Dan, Hannah and Wendy feel incredibly blessed to have found an amazing musician right here in Cody who has stepped in and begun to play with the group on Fridays and Saturdays this summer, and will be taking over Hannah’s spot as the fiddle and mandolin player when Hannah leaves for UW.

Shelbi McNeil is a homegrown Cody girl, born and raised on the South Fork of the Shoshone River. As a child, she loved to entertain her neighbors, family and friends with spontaneous songs. As the youngest of five siblings, Shelbi says she had to keep up with her older brothers and sisters – and music was her outlet.

Shelbi’s mom says she picked up the violin at the age of 10… and despite the fact that the local school system didn’t have an orchestra, Shelbi’s abilities grew with practice. She was given the opportunity to play with the Northwest College orchestra when she was 14, and furthered her skills when she joined the Billings Youth Orchestra at the age of 16. As a senior in high school, she traveled with the Cody High School musicians, representing the region in the All-State Orchestra.

Shelbi’s other love, besides her instrument, has always been horses. She was turned on to the Clinton Anderson method of training horses as a teenager, and was given the chance of a lifetime to join Anderson’s Clinician Academy in Texas after she graduated high school.

When she isn’t playing and singing with Dan and Wendy, Shelbi travels around the state giving lessons on horsemanship through her certification as a Clinton Anderson Method Ambassador, and takes in training horses. She has taught in California, Texas, Montana, and now in her home state of Wyoming.

Welcome, Shelbi!

Dan Appears on KODI-AM

Dan appeared today on Wendy’s radio show, “Partyline”! They discussed this season’s changes, INCLUDING our newest addition to the show, the fabulous Shelbi McNeil, who is our featured fiddle player on Fridays and Saturdays this summer.

Dan also previewed the television broadcast of the Cody Stampede 4th of July rodeo, which will be aired on RFD-TV in a few weeks; and a special guest who’s going to be coming to Cody for a FREE concert in City Park in August!
